Neeta Jain-Duhaut (Duhaut)

Neeta Jain-Duhaut is an Indian film director from Delhi, where she post-graduated in English, French and Linguistics. She also holds an MPhil in Linguistics from La Sorbonne, Paris. After a few years as a translator and production coordinator, Neeta chose to engage into filmmaking. She has written and directed several documentaries and short films. Her short fiction “O BAI” and her creative documentary “Les mariés de l’Inde”, coproduced with ARTE, were selected in many International film festivals and were telecast in Europe, USA and Canada. Married to a Frenchman, Neeta has lived in France and England, and has recently come to reside in Madrid. She is currently preparing a documentary and writing the screenplay for a feature film.

Neeta Jain-Duhaut es una cineasta de Delhi, India, donde cursó estudios de inglés, francés y lingüística. Cursó además un Master en lingüística en La Sorbona. Después de trabajar varios años como traductora y coordinadora de producción, Neeta decidió hacer películas. Ha escrito y dirigido varios documentales y cortometrajes. Su corto de ficción “O BAI” y su documental creativo “Les mariés de l’Inde”, coproducido por ARTE, fueron seleccionados para competir en varios festivales internacionales y se han emitido en televisión en Europa, EE.UU. y Canadá. Casada con un francés, Neeta ha vivido en Francia e Inglaterra y hace poco se ha instalado en Madrid. Actualmente está preparando un documental y escribiendo el guión de un largometraje.

María Luisa López Moreno (España)

Nace en Fuensalida (Toledo) Desde 1986, año en que se incorpora al Museo de Arte Contemporáneo, ha desarrollado tareas de responsabilidad en relación con los fondos bibliográficos y documentales del Museo (1986-1992) así como de organización, gestión de fondos y programación de actividades, como directora en el mismo museo, en el período 1993-1996. Desde su incorporación al Centro Andaluz de Arte Contemporáneo ha ejercido funciones de Jefatura de Servicio en el Área de Actividades, en tareas de planificación, gestión y producción de exposiciones, talleres, seminarios, encuentros, cursos, conciertos y demás actividades que se desarrollan regularmente en el CAAC y que se pueden ver en la web www.caac.es. Asimismo ha ejercido labores de comisariado en diversas exposiciones.

Born in Fuensalida, in the province of Toledo. Since 1986, the year she started working at the Contemporary Art Museum of Seville, she has been in charge of tasks related to the bibliographic and documentary collections of the Museum (1986-1992) and also, as the director of the Museum, between 1993-1996, the organization and management of collections and the programming of activities. At the Andalusian Center of Contemporary Art, she has headed the Activity Section, carrying out tasks in the areas of planning, management and production of exhibits, workshops, seminars, encounters, courses, concerts and other activities taking place regularly at CAAC, which can be seen at www.caac.es. She has also been the curator of various exhibits.

Rafael R. Tranche (España)

Rafael R. Tranche cuenta con una dilatada experiencia en el campo audiovisual como realizador y guionista de publicidad, cine y televisión. En el 2000 escribe y dirige el cortometraje Mi patio, seleccionado en la Sección Oficial de la 45º Semana Internacional de Cine de Valladolid y Premio Luis Buñuel de Cinematografía 2001, otorgado por el Ayuntamiento de Madrid. En el 2002 escribe y dirige el documental MarMadrid, nominado al Mejor corto documental en los Premios Goya 2003. En el 2008 realiza el cortometraje Y se me escapa la vida dentro de la sección La mano que mira organizada por el Festival Punto de Vista. En la actualidad prepara un documental sobre la Guerra Civil española. Como historiador y teórico cinematográfico ha publicado numerosos artículos en revistas especializadas y libros colectivos. Su último trabajo, en colaboración con Vicente Sánchez-Biosca, NO-DO: el tiempo y la memoria (8ª edición, 2006) obtuvo el Premio Muñoz Suay de la Academia de las Artes y las Ciencias Cinematográficas de España al mejor libro de cine editado ese año. Actualmente realiza una investigación sobre el cine durante la Guerra Civil española por encargo de Filmoteca Española. Al mismo tiempo, desde 1991 es Profesor en la Facultad de Ciencias de la Información de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Ha impartido numerosos cursos sobre guión y realización en diversas universidades y ha sido Profesor Invitado en la Escuela Internacional de Cine y TV de San Antonio de los Baños (Cuba) de 1991 a 1994.

Rafael R. Tranche has a great deal of experience in the audiovisual field, specifically as the producer and writer of advertising, film and television projects. In 2000 he wrote and directed the short film Mi patio, which was selected for the Official Section of the 45th Valladolid International Film Week and the Luis Buñuel Film Award 2001, awarded by the Madrid City Council. In 2002 he wrote and directed the documentary MarMadrid, nominated for the Best Documentary Short Film Award of the Goya Awards 2003. In 2008 he made the short Y se me escapa la vida as part of the La mano que mira section organized by the Point of View Festival. He is currently preparing a documentary on the Spanish Civil War. As a film historian and theorist, he has published numerous articles in specialized journals and collective books. His most recent work, in collaboration with Vicente Sánchez-Biosca, NO-DO: el tiempo y la memoria (8th Edition, 2006) received the Muñoz Suay Award of Spain’s Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences for the best book on film published that year. He is now researching film during the Spanish Civil War, on a commission by the Spanish Film Archives. Also, since 1991 he has been a professor at the Faculty of Information Sciences of the Universidad Complutense of Madrid. He has taught a number of courses on screenwriting and producing at various universities and he has been Guest Professor at the San Antonio de los Baños International School of Film and TV (Cuba) from 1991 to 1994.

Luis Mariano González Mazarrón (España)

Luis Mariano González Mazarrón Licenciado en Comunicación Audiovisual por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Miembro del comité organizador del Festival de Cine de Alcalá de Henares / Comunidad de Madrid desde el año 94, donde coordina varias de sus publicaciones y ciclos, pasa a dirigirlo en 1998. Paralelamente, ha realizado tareas como redactor de cultura y crítico cinematográfico en varios diarios y como redactor y asesor cinematográfico de programas televisivos como '100% Cine', de Telecinco, o 'Cinemaspop', de Antena 3 TV. Como jurado, ha participado en festivales internacionales como el de Locarno (Suiza), Guanajuato (México), Barinas (Venezuela) o Documenta Madrid. Presidente de FILMAD, la Coordinadora de Festivales de Cine de Madrid, desde su fundación hasta 2007.

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Audiovisual Communication from the Universidad Complutense in Madrid. In 1994 he became part of the organizing committee of the Film Festival of Alcalá de Henares / Community of Madrid, coordinating various publications and series. In 1998 he was made director of the festival. He also works as a cultural critic and film critic in various newspapers and as a writer and cinematographic adviser for television programs such as '100% Cine' (Telecinco), and 'Cinemaspop' (Antena 3 TV). He has been a member of the jury at international festivals such as Locarno (Switzerland), Guanajuato (Mexico), Barinas (Venezuela) and Documenta Madrid. He was the President of FILMAD, the Coordinator of Film Festivals in the Community of Madrid, from its founding to 2007.

Ismael Grasa (España)

Ismael Grasa (Huesca, 1968) es autor de las novelas "De Madrid al cielo" (Anagrama, 1994), finalista del Premio Herralde y ganadora del premio Tigre Juan, "Días en China" (Anagrama, 1996) y "La Tercera Guerra Mundial" (Anagrama, 2002). Es autor también del libro de viaje "Sicilia" (Plaza&Janés, 2000; Ediciones del Cobre, 2004) y del volumen de poemas y relatos "Nueva California" (Xordica, 2003). Su última obra publicada es el libro de relatos "Trescientos días de sol" (Xordica, 2007), por el que ha obtenido el Premio Ojo Crítico.

Juan Antonio Ortíz López (España)

Periodista, crítico de cine de Radio Popular de Granada hasta 1982. Después dirige Radio 80 para continuar ejerciendo su labor en Antena 3 radio. Director de Canal Sur en Granada desde la fundación del Canal hasta 1994. Director de Canal Sur en Málaga los siguientes tres años, hasta ocupar su cargo actual como director territorial de la RTVA en la provincia de Granada.

Juan Antonio worked as a journalist and film critic at Radio Popular de Granada until 1982. Afterwards he directed Radio 80 for some time and then moved on to Antena 3 Radio. He was the director of the Canal Sur network in Granada from its founding up to 1994. Then he became the director of Canal Sur in Málaga, where he remained for three years, before taking his current post as the territorial director of RTVA (Andalusian Radio/TV network) in the province of Granada. -->
