Registration for the 32nd edition of the Jóvenes Realizadores – Granada Film Fest will be conducted through the Festhome, FilmFreeway y Shortfilmdepot platforms.
International
Competition
The International Competition celebrates the diversity of contemporary cinema. It represents the festival’s commitment to discovering emerging filmmakers and works that explore new audiovisual forms, regardless of their duration, genre, or format.
Unreleased mid-length and short films, or those produced after January 2025 with a maximum duration of 60 minutes, are eligible to participate. Selected works will compete for the following awards:
/ Val del Omar Award for Best Film (€1,000 prize)
/ City of Granada Award for Best Spanish Short Film (€900 prize)
/ Youth Award (€600 prize)
/ Hammam Al-Andalus Audience Award
/ AAMMA Award for Gender Perspective
AGUAESPEJO
Competition
Promoted by the Agua Granada Foundation, the Aguaespejo Competition is a call for entries that invites reflection on the relationship between the moving image, water, and the environment. It views water as a source of artistic expression and a medium for experimentation with audiovisual language.
Selected works—with no limit on duration or nationality—that are unreleased or produced after January 2025, will compete for the following award:
/ Agua Granada Award (€1,000 prize)
Vibraciones
Competition
The SGAE Foundation, in fulfillment of its objective to promote audiovisual genres of special interest such as short and mid-length films, organizes the Vibraciones Competition in collaboration with the Vibraciones Cultural Association.
Fiction, animation, and/or documentary short and mid-length films directed or produced in Andalusia, completed after January 2025, and with a maximum duration of 60 minutes, are eligible to participate.
Selected works will compete for the following awards:
/ SGAE Foundation Award for Best Direction.
/ SGAE Foundation Award for Best Screenplay.
/ SGAE Foundation Award for Best Soundtrack.
Each award includes a prize of €600.

PANTALLA
FILM IN GRANADA
Pantalla Film in Granada is a non-competitive section promoted by Film in Granada, the film office of Diputación de Granada (the Provincial Council of Granada). Its mission is to promote the province as a filming location for audiovisual productions and to consolidate Granada’s audiovisual sector.
The section is open to fiction or documentary works with a maximum duration of 20 minutes, produced after January 2025, that meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Directed or produced by citizens born and/or residing in the province of Granada.
- Filmed primarily in municipalities within the province of Granada.
Registration for this section is free and must be completed exclusively through the Festhome platform.
